Jenny Kroik

My current work is, in part, an attempt to question the authoritative powers of a work of art. By inviting a community authorship and other inclusive creative games, I attempt to seek alternatives to a traditional mode of culture production/consumption. -- Jenny Kroik

Jenny's work

It was a gala and well-attended event on a warm summer evening in Salem. The work was stunning: Jenny Kroik's very strong work filled the main gallery, Paula Booth's work under the mezzanine is very well crafted and is laden with symbols that can be "read" in many ways, Barry Shapiro's art class exhibited their work, which is a sincere investigation into "art that saves lives" and offers the viewer insight into youth and symbolic meanings.
